Delete Your Account

You can delete your Refuells account, and the data stored with it, from inside the app. The steps are the same on iPhone and on Android.

Delete from inside the app

Deletion is permanent. Nothing is archived and nothing can be restored afterwards, so save anything you still want — a report, a receipt photo, your refuel history — before you start.

  1. Open Refuells and sign inSign in with the account you want to delete. Only the signed-in account can be deleted, and only by you.
  2. Go to SettingsOpen the Settings screen from the app's main navigation.
  3. Tap Delete AccountThe option sits on the Settings screen itself. Tapping it explains what is about to be removed.
  4. Confirm the deletionConfirm when the app asks you to. Your account is closed, you are signed out, and the records listed below are removed from our systems.

What deletion removes

  • Your profile and the sign-in credentials tied to it.
  • Your vehicles and their settings.
  • Your refuel records, fuel costs and calculated economy.
  • Your trips, including the location history recorded with them.
  • Your driving events, scores, tier progress and badges.
  • Files you uploaded, such as scanned receipts and vehicle documents.

What deletion does not cover

  • Removing the app from your phone is not the same thing. That deletes only the local copy on the device; the data already synced to your account stays until the account itself is deleted.
  • Driving data you previously shared with an insurer stays with that insurer, under its own privacy policy. We cannot recall it — ask them directly if you want it erased.
  • Location and motion permissions remain granted to a reinstalled app. Revoke them in your phone's own Settings if you want tracking to stop before you delete.
  • Records we are legally required to keep may be retained for as long as the law requires, and for no other purpose.

If you can no longer sign in

If you have lost access to the account and cannot reach the Settings screen, we will delete it for you. Email us from the address the account is registered under so we can verify it is yours.
